Arizona Got it Right!

I am confused by the far left’s outrage over the recent decision by Arizona’s Governor to criminalize illegal immigrants in Arizona. Here are excerpts from the far left’s spin on the decision. “Has Arizona become the new hate capital of the United States of America?  Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has waged war on illegal immigrants and on Friday passed a new law that could change the history of our country. It is the most outrageous anti-migrant law in the country and has declared open season on undocumented workers who live in that state.”

This law was written by the Arizona legislature and signed by the governor.  It is supported by 70 percent of the citizens of Arizona.  The law was passed after waiting twenty years for the US Government to create an enforceable law with regards to illegal immigration.  My feeling is the “Limo Libs” are outraged for one obvious reason.  They will have to pay real salaries, healthcare and social security taxes on their domestic staff.  They also will lose a voting block they were pinning their political future on.

I welcome hearing from a far left liberal on logical reasons why this law is an outrage and an assault on civil rights.  Please do not use the same old tired talking points about racism, because it will not work.  This law was passed to make a point to the Federal Government.  Americans are sick and tired of the crime that has swept the border areas of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.  Much of it directly linked to the open boarders and illegal immigration problem. The Federal Government has ample time to crack down on this serious problem to national security and local law enforcement.  They chose to ignore it! I hope we have more politicians like Jan Brewer who base their decisions on America’s safety NOT political correctness and politics.  Take a lesson from Arizona President Obama,  you could learn something.

For the most part I agree with what Arizona is doing. My only thing I disagree with is stopping and questioning people for no reason. If the persons does anything to break the law, even if it is jaywalking, then the police should have the right to question them and if they are illegal get the the hell out of America. I am from Boston and I see where illegals are arrested everyday, they get released either on bail or by the Courts. Whey when it is determined by law enforcement that the person is illegal are they not turned over to INS right there and then.

As for so called “anchor babies” if the mom and dad are illegal then the child is not american. If one parent is an american citizen then the parents should make the decision of whether or not the child is or isn’t. Either way sent the illigal parent back to where they came from or force the couple to marry, with no possibility of divorce. If they divorce, the illegal goes home.

The training police officers receive requires them to have reasonable suspicion/probable cause for detaining anyone. Traffic stop, domestic call, etc. If they do not have reasonable suspicion to detain a person then they are violating the law.

Any legal immigrant is required to carry their Green Card at all times when out in public. (Federal law) Every American citizen is required by law to display their driver’s license when stopped for a traffic violation and to identify themselves when an officer is investigating an incident/crime. Those laws are on the books of every state in the country.

I agree with you on the anchor baby issue. The illegal immigrants are using this issue to get a “foothold” into the country. It costs Americans hundreds of millions of dollars and is one of the reasons California is close to being bankrupt. The process of becoming an American citizen has some dangerous loopholes that are ignored. This latest NYC terrorist married an American. Do we think it was out of love or his need to become assimilated into American society to complete his terror mission? The question thinking Americans want answered. Why is the Federal government not tracking their visits outside the country, and asking them if they have any ties to known terror organizations during their application process? The government does not ask these questions during the interview process at ICE. The question asked, are you a member or have you ever been a member of the communist party? The liberals do not see this as a problem?
